VLAD KOMANICKY

Throughout his career, Vlad has been fascinated by the intersection of Creativity, Technology, and Commercials – the key components that must be seamlessly integrated to create successful modern ecosystems. He recognises that the fusion of these elements is more critical than ever in today’s marketing landscape, and his diverse experience across industries has shaped his unique perspective.
Vlad is an established leader who has spent over a decade working on the client side in both Marketing and Procurement roles and loves how these two worlds intersect. Following his client-side experience, Vlad spent the last 12 years consulting, from leading teams as a Managing Partner to founding and leading the innovative consultancy Alchemists.
Alchemists, the Marketing Advisory Vlad founded five years ago, provides independent and practical advisory services focused on optimising agency ecosystems, commercial models and innovation, internal operations, and in-housing. And most recently, on how clients could embrace Generative AI in a practical yet accelerated manner across all the areas mentioned above.
Vlad’s corporate career spans over 12 years, during which he managed Client-Agency relationships across various categories, including Creative, Digital, e-commerce, and Media agencies, overseeing budgets worth billions of pounds. He has held local, regional, and global roles at prestigious companies such as Mars, Vodafone, GSK, John Lewis Partnership, and RBS Group. Vlad has successfully implemented pioneering initiatives in these positions, such as one of the first digital attribution models, reviewing complex agency ecosystems, and collaborating with major agency holding groups.
As a consultancy leader, Vlad has led transformative projects to reimagine clients’ external ecosystems. Notable engagements include a 5-year partnership with NIVEA, providing design, commercial, and performance support for their integrated agency model, and leading one of the largest agency model reviews and pitches in recent history for a major Rx client, with a spend close to $500 million. Vlad has also worked on significant assignments for EY, Bayer, Sanofi, Blackrock, Lloyds, Invesco, Barclays, Delta, NatWest, Migros, and E.ON.
When he’s not pioneering the future of marketing, Vlad can be found exploring the latest advancements in technology and gaming and contributing to the care of many pets at home.
